The Boeing Dreamliner Experience

8932331754564396

Oh sure, Boeing’s new 787 Dreamliner is made of composite materials and it’s super fuel efficient, but unless you own an airline, the only thing you care about is how comfortable it is. Boeing knows this, and has striven to give passengers an experience unlike any other airplane.

The aerospace company decided an all-new airplane needs an all-new interior and went all-out to make the 787’s interior as innovative as its airframe, aerodynamics and engines. From the air you breath to the turbulence you (won’t) feel to the windows you look through, the passenger experience promises to provide something new at every stage of your flight.

Keeping Passengers Cool on Commercial Aircraft

Aircraft Air Conditioning
The temperature in an airplane cabin is managed, in part, by an Air Cycle Machine (ACM). The ACM acts as the refrigeration unit to provide cool air in pressurized aircraft. An aircraft typically has two or three of these ACM machines arranged in a system called a “pack”. The ACM packs are typically located near the main landing gear.

The cooling process does not require Freon or other chemical refrigerants. Instead, an ACM uses air to cool the air by expanding and contracting the volume of air. This system has some very distinct benefits over a chemical coolant system.

A brief History of Petalitng Street-Chinatown-Kuala Lumpur-Malaysia

The Chinese have been in Kuala Lumpur ever since its founding back in 1857. Yap Ah Loy was an integral character in the development of K.L and it is him that contributed to the success of Petaling Street . This Chinese dominated area would be known to tourists as Chinatown but to the locals, it is affectionately referred to by its eponymous road name. It is more affectionately know to the Chinese Malaysians as Chi-Cheong-Kai in Cantonese but till this day there has been no reasoning or meaning behind it. Petaling Street maintains much of its traditional atmosphere, particularly at night when vendors peddle their wares on the streets.
